I wasn’t aware that this was based on an older painting. She did an amazing job recreating that painting while also adapting it for the medium of enamel. I was curious about the design of the tree branch as it has more of a surreal quality to it than the realistic looking eagle, but now I know the o
I wasn’t thinking about the recent water resistance changes, but Patek only rates its minute repeaters as being humidity and dust protected (not water-resistant). So having a Patek minute repeater rated for 30m would be pretty notable.
In my fantasy world, why not add a peripheral winding system to the R TO 27 movement and adapt the fortissimo system from the advanced research 5750P for better sound projection. While the 5750P was not water-resistant, I am imagining that with the enhanced sound propagation it may be what is needed
Although I find the tourbillon to still be somewhat hidden on the 5303. The skeletonization really focuses on the minute repeater complication, even bringing the hammers and gongs to the dial side.
Yea, that is correct. I'm certain prices vary for each piece depending on its details, but I rarely see definitive pricing information on Rare Handcraft pocket watches listed so it was interesting to note. The idea for the watch was that it had a recipe programmed into it and would instruct you which ingredient to add next and when it was time to do so. It was based on the movement in the metronome watc
I think a lot of the discussion has been based on misunderstandings of what has changed. Reading the press release, the change is now there is a clear definition of what 30m water resistance means (e.g. you can swim at a depth of 30m) and they are testing all watches that they claim are water resist
